Steene Hill Farm is located in the northeast corner of Pa., in the northern part of the beautiful Pocono Mountains. We live in a popular recreational area, about 2 hours outside of New York City.

We live in an area that has easy access to many main highways.    We are approximately 20 minutes from the intersection of the following highways: from the New England states, Interstate 84; from the east and west, Interstate 80; from the north and south, Interstate 81. Therefore, transportation of our animals is relatively easy. Trucking is available, upon request, for cattle sold.

In our region many dairy farms have gone out of the farming business. This enabled us to lease pastureland from several local farmers , as our herd has outgrown our original pastures. We usually average between 50-60 cattle at any given time.  We selectively breed to  produce optimal beef for the dinner table, and the showring.  We do not use hormones, steroids, or antibiotics to raise our beef. The highland beef is characterized as a lean beef, which is healthier for you, and still maintains the flavor of quality meat.  However, we realize that some people prefer more marbling in their meat so we raise our cattle to the consumer's preferences.

When our calves are weaned they are calfhood vaccinated and halter broke.
Please visit our homepage again. We will be updating our sale animal lists as changes occur.
